Currently …
Hey Guys,
I wanted to share a little blurb on what I’m currently reading. It’s a great way to open discussions on new topics and get to know some of you a little better … Right now, I’m finishing a book I’ve taken my sweet time reading called “Stiff” by Mary Roach.
It’s a non-fiction book about the “life” of a cadaver. The author goes on to speak about death in society, history, methods of burials and sociological aspects of death in culture - as well as investigating many avenues of research on what scientifically happens to a cadaver inside when the body dies, how investigators and science can tell how long a body has been dead - in every situation imaginable… decay and experimentation breakthrough for finding solutions to deaths causes (cancer, aids, alzheimer’s etc.)
I really like the way she writes, it’s extremely dark in humor and a bit of underlying sarcasm … but very blunt. I have yet to reach the end of it, hopefully by the end of the night. Now you know a little about my weirdness in interest … has anyone read this book?
